Aug 29The Screening Challenge: "The Domain Knowledge Bot"
The Task: Build a simple, functioning AI chatbot using a no-code tool (like Voiceflow, Botpress, or a basic Streamlit + API script) that can answer questions based on a specific document.
Requirements:
- Choose a Document: Find a 2-3 page PDF or article related to your chosen domain (e.g., a report on smart city traffic, a guide on rural agriculture, or a medical triage protocol).
- Build the Bot: Upload that document into a no-code AI builder to create a Custom Knowledge Base (RAG).
- The Deliverable: Submit a public link or a 60-second screen recording of you asking the bot a question and the bot successfully answering it based on the document.

Eligibility Who can register?
Engineering students (1st–4th year BE/B.Tech), MCA students, and recent passouts (within 6 months) from any college in Bengaluru. Inter-college and inter-branch teams allowed and encouraged.
Registration Does registering guarantee a spot on event day?
No. Every application is screened Aug 18–22. Only 30 teams are shortlisted and invited on-site. The ₹399 fee is non-refundable if not shortlisted.
Screening How are applications screened?
To get shortlisted, teams must submit a lightweight "Domain Proficiency Mini-Challenge" during registration (e.g., building a simple conversational interface or wireframe using AI tools). This proves your fundamental technical skills before the actual complex problem statement drops 48 hours prior to the event.
Event What are we judged on, if shortlisted?
Live prototype + pitch evaluated by jury after 4:30 PM submission. Jury criteria: Innovation (25), Technical Feasibility (25), Business Viability (20), Presentation (20), GenAI/No-Code Usage (10) = 100 pts.
Tools What tools can we use?
Gen AI and No-Code/Low-Code tools: Voiceflow, Glide, Bubble, Airtable, Make.com, Zapier, OpenAI API, Gemini API, Bhashini API, Teachable Machine, Figma, etc. Full coding is not prohibited but is not the spirit of the event.
Pre-building Can we start building before the event?
The actual problem statement will be revealed on August 27th, 48 hours before the buildathon. You can use this time to research and architect your solution, but final prototyping happens during the 24-hour sprint.
Team Can we have inter-college team members?
Yes, absolutely. Teams from different colleges and branches are welcome. All members must individually meet eligibility criteria.
Logistics What if my college has an exam clash on Aug 29?
Contact your regional PM (Astle: South, Nivedha: North, Abhinandan: West) early. Sep 5, 2026 is the backup date if a major clash is identified. Confirmed by Aug 15.
Payment How do I pay the registration fee?
Pay ₹399 via UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm) or bank transfer. Enter your UTR/transaction ID in the registration form. Team verified within 24 hours by our operations team.
